Christchurch owned and operated, Solid Bearing was established in 2005 following the realisation for the need for a local specialist foundation and floor slab company.
Our expertise and knowledge in the construction of the various types of foundations and floorslabs enables us to provide and deliver a complete package to our customers, from site preparation, excavation and hard fill to preparing, placing and finishing a floor slab of the highest quality!
We take pride in our commitment to Health and Safety being Sitewise accredited through Site Safe and being Licensed Building Practitioners.
Craig Dunn – Managing Director
Craig has been in the construction industry for over 25 years completing his apprenticeship in Carpentry. He has been managing the company since its incorporation in 2005. His attention to detail and ability to develop new and lasting relationships complement his knowledge within the industry. Craig ensures all our projects run smoothly without any delays. His extensive experience provides him with the ability to problem solve and answer questions any clients would have during the project.
Craig has a natural ability to lead his team to forever challenge themselves to produce a very high quality product.

Mike Hann - Director
Mike Hann has worked in the construction industry for more than three decades and is known and respected for his personal integrity and the honest, ethical way he conducts his business dealings. These values have seen Mike and his companies flourish in a highly competitive industry for well over 30 years.
Having worked as a carpenter for many years, Mike has considerable trade experience, plus a wealth of valuable professional expertise from working directly with industry suppliers, sub-contractors, local authorities and clients. He also has enormous vision and drive – attributes that have enabled him to develop ideas into successful businesses, to see and capitalise on opportunities, and to provide employment and apprenticeships for numerous trade professionals.
Matt Taylor - Project Manager
Matt will often be your first point of call when contacting us. He will be able to guide you through your project from start to finish, working in conjunction with architects, engineers, builders and home owners alike, you can rest assured your project is in safe hands with Matts many years or industry related experience.

Zoe Dunn – Executive Officer
It is Zoe's responsibility to ensure the safe operating of all of our work sites through ongoing support and site visits to communicate with both employees and our clients. She is able to promptly provide any Health and Safety information that may be relevant to the project. We at Solid Bearing take Health and Safety very seriously and this has been recognised by our regular clients. In addition to this role she administers credit controls and oversees contractual arrangements with our various clients.
